Scar & Stretch Mark Camouflage, a specialized but medical cosmetic tattooing technique, is designed to minimize the appearance of stretch marks and scars on the skin.
This procedure involves the application of pigmented tattoo inks to the affected areas using a tattoo machine or handheld device with fine needles.
How does it work?
- Scar & Stretch Mark Camouflage is a form of paramedical cosmetic permanent tattooing used to hide or blend scars & stretchmarks in order to make them less visible.
- This is a form of paramedical cosmetic permanent tattooing. This procedure is used to hide or blend scars and stretchmarks in order to make them less visible.
- We use a specialized tattoo pen and needles to inject artfully mixed pigments into the affected area to improve the colour contrast of the stretchmarks and the skin, and to leave the area rejuvenated. The pigments we utilize are flesh-toned, sterilized, non-toxic & FDA approved.
- During the procedure a topical anaesthetic will be applied for comfort.
Benefits
- Conceals scars: Scar camouflage can hide surgical scars, injuries, burns, and other skin imperfections.
- Boosts confidence: Scar camouflage can help people feel more confident about their bodies.
- Long-lasting: Scar camouflage can provide long-lasting results, unlike topical creams and serums.
- Versatile: Scar camouflage can be used to treat a wide range of scars, including stretch marks, surgical scars, burns, and skin pigmentation disorders.
- Easy recovery: The procedure is minimally uncomfortable and involves little downtime.
** Scar & Stretch Mark Camouflage is a long process, and not a one-time cure. Since the treatment it’s performed on unhealthy skin, its response cannot be predicted. Sometimes the skin will absorb the pigment, reject it, or both. **
What to expect
- After the Scar & Stretch Mark Camouflage session, the treated area will immediately look dark, red, and inflamed immediately, due to the trauma caused to the dermis.
- During the healing process, the treated area will itch, burn and look really inflamed for several weeks. When all the redness has cleared, the tattoo might become darker because of the blood and lymph that has been brought to the surface. This is part of the process as the tissue heals, and it takes the real pigment roughly 4 weeks to resurface.
- After the 45-day mark, the patient will start to notice an improvement in the treated area. The healing process depends on how healthy you are and how hydrated your skin is.
- If needed, a retouch will be performed after 4-6 weeks of initial treatment.
To avoid infections and to ensure the best possible result, it is important to follow the post-treatment and apply the correct care to the treated area.
What does Scar & Stretch mark Camouflage feel like? Does it hurt?
Pain varies on the individual, the area we are treating, and other contributing factors such as menstrual cycle, sleep deprivation, stress levels, caffeine intake, etc. however most clients describe it as “not” painful at all. We will use a topical numbing cream before and/or during your treatment to minimize any discomfort.
